Cheyenne River Disaster Relief!

USD NALSA will be holding a food drive to benefit the Cheyenne River Sioux Tribe. We will be placing a collection box for the donation of non-perishable food items (canned goods, boxed items, and bottled water) in the breezeway from Feb. 12, 2010 – Feb. 19, 2010.

The ice storm of January 21, 2010, followed by a blizzard and bitterly cold temperatures, resulted in reservation-wide power and water outages. Many people had a winter’s worth of food in their freezer which was spoiled during the power outages, and they can’t afford to replace it.
